PESARAPAPPU PAYASAM(MOONG DAL PAYASAM)


1 cup cooked and mashed moong dal
2 cups milk
2 spoons badam and cashewnuts powder
ghee
1 cup jaggery(or according to taste)
cashews ,almonds and raisins for garnish


to cook the moongdal,fry it in a pan with 1 spoon ghee.
pressure cook and mash it.
in a seperate bowl pour 1/2 cup water and add jaggery to it.
let it boil and the water should reduce.
heat oil in the bowl.add moongdal.
cook for 4 minutes
add almond and chashewnut powder.
add jaggery syrup and cook for 15 minutes.
add cardamom for flavour(optional).
add 1 spoon ghee.stir wel garnish with chashews raisins and almonds.
serve hot or chilled.
