GORU CHIKKUDUKAYA KOBBARI KOORA(GAWAR BEANS FRY)

Hi all i dont know what u call this in english...when searched in google images i got the name as "Gawar" i love when my mom makes this..this is one of her best recipes...the taste is really awesome...it goes well with pappu charu ,sambar or rasam..

pressure cooked or microwave boiled beans
4 sp dry or freshly grated coconut powder
garlic flakes 2
1 sp chilli powder
salt
1 sp mustard
1sp urad
turmeric
curry leaves

remove the ends of the beans and cut them into 2 or 3 halfs..do not chop it.
heat oil in a wide pan.now add mustard,urad,curry leaves.
add onions and fry till light brown.
add turmeric and salt.
add beans and fry them for 10 minutes.
add coconut powder ,chilli powder and crushed garlic.
fry till desired for for 10 more minutes...seethat it does not burn.........

Hey, we call this veggie gorikai in Kannada. It used to be my dad's favourite. This is a nice recipe.. Simple and Quick. Why dont you enter it for Nupur's quick event??!!

Very nice dish, this is Gujarati word to say ”GAVAR”. We make this curry some different way but your idea is also fabulous. I try next time with your recipe. Thanks for sharing.:)
