ONION CUTNEY

1 small onion
3 sp cumin seeds
4 dry red chillies
tamarind

seasoning

1 sp mustard seeds
1 sp uradh dal
1 sp oil
curry leaves
hing(asafoetida)



heat oil in a pan.fry red chillies,cumin and tamarind .
keep it aside let them cool
fry onions in the same oil till they r transparent .dont let them stay till brown.
keep it aside and let them cool.

grind all of the above and add salt to it.
now make seasoning with mustard seeds,uradh dal,curry leaves and at last hing with oil.

let the sesoning cool .
add it to the cutney .


serve with idle , dosa,utappam,rava dosa,rice,chapati....really it goes with everything.
